Delete your account
Last updated 31 July 2026
This page explains how to delete your Trbo account (the Trbo indoor cycling training app, published by Trbo) and what happens to your data when you do.
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from inside the app. You do not need to contact us and you do not need to wait for us to action a request.
How to delete your account
- Open the Trbo app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Settings. On a phone, tap More in the bottom bar, then Settings.
- Scroll to Account & subscription, then to the Your data section.
- If you want a copy of your data first, tap Export my data. Once your account is deleted this is no longer possible.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation box and tap Permanently delete.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone. It affects only the account you are signed in to.
If you can't sign in
Email help@trbo.bike from the email address on your Trbo account with the subject Delete my account. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and delete the account within 30 days, usually within a few business days.
What is deleted
Deleting your account removes all of the following from our systems:
- Your account itself: email address, password, and Google sign-in identifier if you used one.
- Your training profile: FTP, FTP test history, training plan settings and workout preferences.
- Your ride history: every completed and abandoned session, with its duration, power, Training Stress Score, estimated calories and date.
- Your training plans, including archived plans.
- Custom workouts you built, starred workouts, your queue and saved queues.
- Feedback you sent us in the app, including any screenshots attached to it, and your votes on other people's feedback.
- Strava access tokens, if you connected Strava. We also tell Strava to revoke Trbo's access, so nothing is left connected on Strava's side. Activities you already uploaded to Strava belong to your Strava account and stay there; delete them in Strava if you want them gone.
- Device registrations and your record in our email sequence, so we stop emailing you.
Your active subscription is cancelled immediately as part of deletion, so you are not billed again. Note this is different from pausing: any days you have already paid for are given up rather than carried forward.
Deleted account and training data is removed from our live database straight away, from our systems within 30 days, and purged from encrypted backups within 90 days.
What is kept, and for how long
Two things survive deletion. Both are kept because the law requires it or to prevent fraud.
| What we keep | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Billing records held by Stripe: your customer record, past invoices and payment amounts. | Australian tax and accounting law requires invoice records to be retained. We never hold your card number; Stripe does. | Generally 7 years. |
| A one-way record of the email address that has used a free trial. It is not linked to your account and carries no other information about you. | Fraud prevention: it stops the same address deleting and re-registering to claim unlimited free trials. | Indefinitely, unless you ask us to remove it. |
Our hosting providers also keep short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and fault diagnosis, on retention periods they set.
What we never had in the first place
Trbo never stores your heart rate. If you pair a heart rate monitor, the reading goes from the strap to your device over Bluetooth, appears on screen while you ride, and is then discarded. It never reaches our servers, so there is nothing to delete. We also never collect your location, weight, Apple Health or Google Fit data, or any biometric or medical information.
Mini Games personal bests are stored only in your browser on your own device. They are not on our servers. Clearing your browser or app data removes them.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete your whole account to clear data. Inside the app you can:
- Clear your entire ride history, from History.
- Clear your FTP test history, from the FTP screen.
- Delete custom workouts you built, from the Builder.
- Delete saved queues and archived training plans.
- Disconnect Strava, which deletes the tokens we hold and revokes our access.
You can also download everything we hold on you at any time using Export my data in Settings.
